Biography
Erin M. Clifft is an experienced Colorado attorney dedicated to helping families prepare for the future by creating tailored estate plans. Most people avoid talking about death and incapacity—it is an emotional subject and can be overwhelming to address. Having lost a spouse herself, Ms. Clifft is passionate about helping clients navigate difficult conversations with compassion and dignity around planning for death and incapacity. Having a comprehensive estate plan in place can provide clients with peace of mind that their plan reflects their wishes for themselves and their loved ones.
Before switching practice areas after suffering a personal loss in 2021, Ms. Clifft served as a Guardian ad Litem, advocating in and out of the courtroom for the best interests of Colorado children in abuse, neglect, and delinquency cases. In her role as a Guardian ad Litem, Erin gained significant trial experience including handling a wide range of contested
hearings and court trials regarding parental responsibilities, placement, adoption, termination of parental rights, out of state placement, education and mental health issues, and child safety. Ms. Clifft is also a Colorado mediator and volunteer restorative justice facilitator. Prior to her work in child welfare law, Ms. Clifft gained experience in personal injury law and family law.
Erin is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, El Paso County Bar Association, and the Trust & Estates and Elder Law Sections of the Colorado Bar Association.
