Having finished a remarkable career in service to the United States, Joe has finally realized his dream of calling Colorado his permanent home. After graduating Summa Cum Laude at the University of Kentucky, he started work as an investment advisor in Louisville, Kentucky with Hilliard Lyons financial services. After spending a considerable amount of time in the investment and estate planning industry, Joe discovered a passion for the law and decided to go to the University of Cincinnati School of Law. At Cincinnati, Joe clerked for several local judges and spent time developing multidisciplinary legal skills. After law school, Joe commissioned as a Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force, where he spent several years working for the 1st Special Operations Wing at Hurlburt Field, Florida. In that assignment, he was assigned a heavy docket of criminal and civil litigation cases. Having shown a strong aptitude for labor and employment litigation and case management, he was assigned to a unit with a very heavy labor and employment law workload at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. There he primarily focused on labor and employment advisory services, litigation defense and employer policy development.
During his assignment as an Air Force litigation attorney, he spent time in Colorado and immediately fell in love with the state. He and his family began spending vacation time in Colorado and developed a love for everything Colorado has to offer. Feeling the call of the mountains, Joe accepted a position with the United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command at Peterson Space Force Base in 2020. Fulfilling his dream of living in Colorado, he has finally been able to pair his professional career and his desire to spend time with his family skiing and snowboarding.
