Experienced Law Office Receptionist Needed

We are focused on providing superior work products, and require an extreme attention to detail at all times. As our firm works in many complex practice areas, it is vital that our receptionist be able to learn what we do and how we do it very quickly.
We are growing, and searching for the perfect person to join our dynamic team. We will be extremely selective during the application process, and this ad will remain active until we find the right person for the position.
What We Need
We are searching for someone who is confident, and can step into our office and immediately excel. Our expectations are high, and we feel that no job is too big or small for any person in the office. We all work well as a team, and all pitch in to help out wherever needed.
There are no supervisory or managerial aspects of this position. This position reports to the office manager.
The primary responsibilities of the job include:
Client interaction – greeting clients and making them feel welcome at all times (even when they might be a bit difficult), answering the phone and directing the caller to the appropriate senior level legal staff member, taking detailed messages when necessary, accepting documents from office visitors, and directing clients who bring documents to the appropriate senior level legal staff member if further instruction or explanation is required. The person in this position is the first person visitors see, and must act as an exemplary liaison and represent the firm in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
Filing – opening, maintaining, tracking, and closing client files in paper and digital formats.
Document Management – scanning, shredding, accepting, logging, tracking, and distributing documents received by the firm to the appropriate senior level legal staff member.
Errands – take mail and packages to be sent, pick up miscellaneous office supplies, and pick up and drop off documents to other professional offices, or the court in Colorado Springs.
Office Upkeep – maintain common areas, make sure fridge is always stocked, make sure printers and copiers are always prepared and working properly, and work with the office manager to schedule necessary maintenance for office equipment.
Miscellaneous Tasks – other tasks will be assigned from time to time by the office manager, depending on abilities, growth, and progress.

The perfect candidate for this position will be professional, positive, respectful, driven, have superior attention to detail, be able to learn new things very quickly, and be able to keep up with the fast paced work of our firm. The perfect candidate will not thrive on “re-dos” or provide excuses.
The position is for up to 40 hours per week, and will be probationary for the first 90 days to make sure we are a good fit as a team. Pay will be based on your experience, but will likely be $10/hr – $14/hr, depending on experience and proven abilities as determined by the office manager. We also offer medical insurance upon successful completion of the probationary period.
